A fair point, but I challenge you to do a taste test of BLL vs a quality German lager with some lemon or lime juice in it. I know what I’d prefer.

BLL is a refreshing brew, what is so different about taking a light lager and mixing in a little bit of lime concentrate, vs. what the Germans do? They make Radler beer which is light helles styled lager mixed with lemon soda or juice. Not everyone wants to drink double IPA or Russian Imperial Stouts or other big craft beers when it’s the middle of summer. Sometimes a wit or a hefe is nice too though, I’ll give you that.

Well, I was in Vancouver when I wrote that and I’m heading back to Vancouver now. In Vancouver, the craft beer scene has exploded in the last few years and there are hundreds of options better than BLL. I’m sorry if that isn’t the case in Kentucky. I’m sure you know more about it than I do, but I checked the Beer Advocate Directory for Kentucky and it looks like there are a few breweries: http://beeradvocate.com/beerfly/directory/0/US/KY

I still think BLL is not very good.

Dude, I live in the states and let me tell you, never, ever, not once, have I seen an IPA come in a can. Never. You’re hunting the back alleys of London for local brews no one has ever heard of. Do you know whats in the back alley’s of Kentucky? It’s not beer. If you look what’s in bud light lime, they literally just add about 2 milliliters of lime juice to bud light. Come to Kentucky and try one of the local brewery’s beers. It’s terrible. It’s the saddest thing you’ll ever see. There is a reason people drink bud light lime when there are local brews available. Most of them suck. I’m glad you have a better variety to choose from where you live but the majority of us don’t. Not that we should all default to bud light lime but come on dude. Have you had a beach bum ale? In Bowling Green KY, some terrible local brewery made a beach bum ale and every local bar in the downtown area got about 2 6 packs to try and we couldn’t GIVE THAT SHIT AWAY. We threw it away. Didn’t give it to employees. Threw it in the garbage. And dude, you’re in London? Compared to some hick town in Kentucky? And you want to berate us for our choice in beer. Come on…
