It's actually a pretty common practice; beer is high calorie, high carb, and natural - a good choice after a hard day of training. I don't do the tri thing - just marathons for me - and I try to have a few beers a week. Of course you're right about pricing - $7 for some Black Butte Porter in Lynden, and it'd be $17 if you were lucky enough to find it here in Langley. Oh, I’m sure lots of those Ironmen drink beer.
